Los signos de los tiempos como espacio de una teología monstruosa

Abstract

Based on the sociocultural category of monstrosity, this exploratory article posits the thesis that the signs of the times are a space for a monstrous theology, that is, a gesture through which we delve deeper into the radical otherness of God, made present on the human stage through the signs of the times. To demonstrate the meaning of this thesis, the article begins by addressing some preliminary questions surrounding the idea of monstrosity and the meaning of the theology of the signs of the times. Secondly, three considerations will be made on how the relationship between monstrosity and the signs of the times can be developed: namely, monstrosity as a space of theological paradox; the question that marginal theological subjectivities emerge in the signs of the times as a monstrous theology; and, thirdly, the place of fiction as a discursive mediation for deepening the theology of the signs of the times from the perspective of monstrosity. Finally, some concise questions will be presented.

A partir de la categoría sociocultural de la monstruosidad el presente artículo, de carácter exploratorio, postula la tesis de que los signos de los tiempos son espacio de una teología monstruosa, es decir, gesto a través del cual se profundiza en la radical alteridad de Dios que se hace presente en el escenario humano a partir de los signos de la época. Para mostrar el sentido de la tesis ofrecida el artículo comienza trabajando algunas cuestiones preliminares en torno a la idea de la monstruosidad y al sentido de la teología de los signos tiempos. En un segundo momento se trabajarán tres notas sobre cómo se puede tender la relación entre monstruosidad y signos de los tiempos, a saber, la monstruosidad como espacio de la paradoja teológica, la cuestión de que en los signos de los tiempos como teología monstruosa emergen las subjetividades teológicas marginales y, en tercer lugar, el lugar de la ficción como mediación discursiva para profundizar en la teología de los signos de los tiempos desde la monstruosidad. Finalmente, se mostrarán algunas cuestiones de síntesis.
