Las teologías en conflicto en la vigilia de Nicea a la luz de los debates anteriores

Abstract

El artículo estudia, a la luz de debates anteriores, las teologías que se enfrentaron en vísperas del Primer Concilio de Nicea. Con este fin, analiza los problemas metodológicos de las fuentes y subraya la necesidad de evitar una lectura retrospectiva de Nicea. A continuación, identifica las discrepancias teológicas de Alejandro y Arrio. Teniendo en cuenta estas discrepancias, el artículo hace un estudio selectivo de la teología trinitaria anterior, en particular de Teófilo, Orígenes y Eusebio. Teniendo presente este marco, el artículo vuelve al conflicto alejandrino con el propósito de reconocer los parámetros y los grupos en conflicto. Se destaca la necesidad de prestar atención al rechazo de la cristología de las dos etapas del Logos para comprender estos parámetros. La conclusión plantea los desafíos teológicos que tuvo que enfrentar el Concilio de Nicea

The article studies the conflicting theologies at the eve of the First Council of Nicaea in the light of previous debates. To this end, it analyzes the methodological problems of the sources and stresses the need to avoid retrospective reading of Nicaea. It then 8dentifies the theological discrepancies of Alexander and Arius. Considering them, the article makes a selective survey of earlier Trinitarian theology, in particular Theophilus, Origen and Eusebius. With this framework, the article returns to the Alexandrian conflict with the purpose of recognizing the parameters and conflicting groups. The need to pay attention to the rejection of the two-stage Logos Christology in order to understand these parameters is emphasized. The conclusion raises the theological challenges that the Council of Nicaea had to face. Nicaea, Alexander of Alexandria, Arius, Eusebius of Caesarea, Theophilus of Antioch, Origen.
